The Tactonom Family
The Tactonom lets users read any type of text, graphics or application data via a large DIN-A4 sized refreshable tactile graphics display.
Only a few weeks until the launch of the Tactonom Reader, an exciting product that will provide entirely new ways of interacting with tactile content.
With the Tactonom we aim to enable 10% of blind persons under the age of 65 in Europe (954,000 persons) to have access to well-paid and rewarding employment.
About 26.65 million visually impaired persons currently live in the European Union, out of which about 2.65 million persons are blind.
Blind people cannot access graphic information like tables, maps diagrams, charts, graphics, floor plans, images, icons, websites and many more. Just because there are no suitable output technologies available.
The Tactonom enables blind people to access any information without the help of others. On its DIN-A4 sized touch area – with more than 10,500 tactile pixels – text as well as any type of graphics can be displayed.
For an independent life
The Tactonom enables blind people to access any information without the help of others. The gain in independence and autonomy is reinforced in the workplace where the Tactonom empowers blind people to access and be successful in new job profiles.
